Backsquat 75% of 1RM, 2 sets of 10 reps:
- Current 1RM 315#, 75% = 145#
- 10 @ 135#
- 10 @ 185#
- 10 @ 205#
- 10 @ 245#
- 4 @ 245#
I’ve wanted to do longer sets of back squats for a while, so this was a great way to start. 10 reps seems very doable, where 20 reps would likely be a whole different game.
I was glad to get one set of 10 in at 245#, but I was totally out of juice by the second set. I probably should have taken less warmup sets. I’d like to get in 20 reps of bodyweight back squats soon, to see how that goes.
I didn’t have as much energy left for the metcon as I would have hoped. I went with:
AMRAP in 15 min of:
- 5 Burpees
- 10 OHS @ 95#
- 15 Box Jumps 24"
I got 9 box jumps short of 5 rounds.
